Barry’s only rooftop bar, serving the finest cocktails, wines, beers and a small plates menu.
You can find Academy 297 on the rooftop of the Goodsheds. Experience relaxed vibes, sunsets with a drink in hand, maybe the occasional roof top party, all whilst taking in fantastic views of the biggest town in South Wales.
During the Spring and Summer months 297 brings the outdoors indoors, with removable side panels making it the perfect open air bar to enjoy the warm evenings and the best sunsets. Autumn and Winter months are just as enjoyable, side panels back in place, with cosy fur throws and blankets to keep you warm under the twinkling fairy lights as you indulge in some of our premium drinks.

Served every Saturday and Sunday with or without Prosecco, our afternoon teas are the perfect weekend treat!
We offer a regular afternoon tea with tea/coffee - £22.50pp,
or you can upgrade to our bottomless Prosecco afternoon tea - £32.50pp (Bottomless for 90 mins).
We require all afternoon teas to be pre-booked. You can do this via our online booking system up to a party of 10. If your party has more than 10 guests, please email events@academycoffee.co.uk and we will be happy to help organise your afternoon tea.

Important information
Both walk-ins and bookings are available. However, it's advisable on a Friday & Saturday to book in advance.
Each online booking is automatically allocated a 2 hour slot, we are happy to extend your booking for as long as you would like. Please email us to request an extended slot via events@academycoffee.co.uk
Our online booking system has a limited number of large tables available. If you cannot find a suitable table, please email events@academycoffee.co.uk and we will do our best to help! The maximum table size bookable online is 10 people, please email if you need a larger table.
If you cannot find the time and date you want online feel free to get in touch with us via email and we will try our best to fit you in!
We are cashless! Please have a suitable payment card available..
We have our own small plates menu with tapas style dishes available. Booking is not essential, but advisable on a Saturday.
Due to licensing restrictions we cannot allow children (under 18) in 297 after 8pm.
